Question by ND: Is the pantech laser a good phone despite the reviews on the at&t website?
ok, so i had the htc freestyle, and i am returning it. i should have listened to the reviews saying it sucked as much as it did. so now i am looking for a new phone and am thinking to get the pantech laser. some reviews on the att site is that the phone breaks after a month of use, but all the reviews on yahoo answers are good. so idk if it is a good phone or not. and if not, could anyone tell me which is the best quick messaging att smartphone because all the reviews on every att phones (except smartphones) say they suck.

so is this the best phone to get from att thats not a smartphone?

Do not listen to a sales rep, the only option is to try it and return if you don’t like, they should have a return policy like Verizon , right ?

Question by ajht50: i have a verizon phone, im eligable for an upgrade, what phones are good?
i need a smartphone, but i also dont want just a touchscreen phone, i would like a full QWERTY keyboard, the droid has the best reviews but id like to hear from you

I would also agree that the Droid is the best smartphone that has a keyboard. If you’re interested in it, you may want to wait for the Droid 2 that will be out in the next month or two..

Question by quantum1993: Is this Pantech Duo a good phone?
I am 15, and I have a Nokia 6050, and I have taken good care of it, and I am now eligible for an upgrade. I would like to get a Pantech Duo, but I have read bad reviews. I take good care of my phone, but people say that it breaks easily. It is a smartphone / PDA and has a full QWERTY keyboard, and all together is a pretty cool phone. But is it a good phone?

No they are crap with buttons. Seriously. It does break easily, nothing to do with how careful you are. They are a poorly made phone.

Any recommendations for a Verizon cell phone?

Question by Meredith: Any recommendations for a Verizon cell phone?
My daughter’s cell is not reliable, so we’ve got to get another. We’re not looking for a Smartphone. Just want a regular pushbutton cell with a QWERTY keyboard. I pulled up info about LG Cosmos and LG Octane — both of which have mixed reviews. (The bad reviews are pretty bad.)

We don’t know anything about cells. The guy at the store didn’t seem too knowlegeable. Any suggestions? (We want to stick with Verizon.)

Motorola DROID X Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)
A worthy successor to the original Droid, the Android-powered Droid X by Motorola for Verizon Wireless is a pocket-sized home theater with a massive 4.3-inch high-resolution display, HDMI high-definition output with optional cable, and 720p HD video recording capabilities. And the 1 GHz processor provides excellent response for game play, such as the preloaded EA Need for Speed Shift.

Question by Julia Ruth: Is the HTC freestyle a good phone?
its the phone i really want, for my upgrade, wich is really soon. its like a smartphone, but you dont need data packages. i looked at the reviews, and they say that its a terrible phone, it freezes, sends duplacite texts, and more. i dont know what to think.. is it really that bad?

Best answer:

Answer by Ellie
I’m like you too! Haha I read the reviews and everything and I knew it was a horrible phone according to everyone.. but I was stubborn and got it anyway and nevertheless, the reviews were true. I mean I can deal with the freezing and what not but it does get annoying that it freezes all the time. I don’t use the internet or anything. This phone comes with a free radio and I use that alot and text and talk on the phone. Thats all and the phone freezes and sends duplicate texts. This isnt really a big problem to me though but if u have low patience then maybe this phone isnt for you.. I’m still waiting to see if At&t coomes out with any other phones so that I can return this phone and get a better one..but so far I’m keeping this phone. On a scale one to ten Id give this phone like a 6-7. Its features are really nice but honestly it lacks the simple things.
1. It doesnt have a timer. Like..wtf. All phones have timers. I need the timer for running and brushing my teeth so thats kind of inconvenient.
2. The phone doesnt come with a notepad. It kind of sucks when u hear a song in a store and u wanna write down what it is but cant…
3. You have to turn on the internet to send picture mail. Thats really irritating. I was on the phone with customer service for an hour just for them to tell me that I need to turn on my internet to send picture messages. I dont have data plan so that annoying.
4. You have to set your own time. So like sometimes my texts come in at a differnt time than the time i set. They do have an automatic time set but for some reason the automatic one on my phone has the wrong time so I had to set the time myself.
5. When your on the phone and u get a text it buzzes really loud. I’ve had this phone for 2 weeks and Ii still cant figure out how to turn that off or something when I’m on the phone.

So yeah.. its your call. I’m saying exactly as it is. The phone could be better.

Question by acsab: it seems the e71 nokia is also a cdma phone. Is this correct?
I have sprint and hate all their phones. The e71 is getting awesome reviews; such as the best smartphone yet. Yes it has minor problems but I have never seen such great reviews for any phone and my palm SUCKS. And of course (do I have to say it?) all the Windows phones are basically barely useable…

Best answer:

Answer by skyracer_0012
No, E71 is not a CDMA phone. E71 is a GSM and WCDMA (3G) phone. Visit http://www.nokiausa.com/find-products/phones/nokia-e71/specifications for more information.

Android OS – how do I remove icons from the front of my phone?

Question by wabi-sabi: Android OS – how do I remove icons from the front of my phone?
I have a phone with Android. I have an icon for YouTube on the front(desktop? I know that’s not the right word for it…) that I would like to remove(the icon, not the app itself). Does anyone know how to do this without deleting the app itself? I still want the app accessible in the menu of apps, just not on the front of my phone.

Best answer:

Answer by Bunhash
You should be able to simply press your finger onto the icon and hold it there a moment. The option to delete it should pop up. This will only delete the icon, not the app. ^.^
