MobileBurn.com – The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch is the first version of the Galaxy S II smartphone to be available from a major US carrier. It features a couple of upgrades over the original Galaxy S II that we reviewed earlier this year. Namely, the screen is now 4.52 inches across, though it is still a WVGA, Super AMOLED Plus unit (which is no bad thing). The Epic 4G Touch sports a 1.2GHz, dual-core Samsung Exynos processor and 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and has the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. On the back is an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, and the front is home to a 2 megapixel camera for video chats. The rear camera can record video at 1080p HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution. Sprint will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch on September 16 for 9.99 with a new two-year agreement. Apple is smart when it comes to ripping people off….when they cone up with a software update they bring out a new iphone. Nothing really changes with them. Android is a mini laptop. An insane machine that makes sense for everyday use… i must say i wish the samsung galaxy s2 in europe was available here in U.S. on cdma network. It looks better especially in white. Hope they release a white version of the galaxy s2 epic possibly…waiting waiting

To answer all questions about tethering. You will be charge with sprint about an extra 30 a month however i have the htc evo 4g and i rooted (unlocked) the phone..then i was able to tether with laptops for free with bazing speed anywhere my phone had service. This samsung phone blows all android devices to shame since sprint brought the iphone aboard. I reccommend the galaxy s2 epic and root it. Samsung is easier to root than htc.

How much does it cost an unlocked version of this phone?
I mean, what is the average price?

@andrewgarciasb4 Not that i know of. The galaxy nexus will probably be headed to sprint next year but the samsung galaxy s 2 will be more powerful than that phone since the galaxy nexus will have a gpu that is sub par to that of the galaxy s 2.

@TheNateNellyReport LOOL i just want suggestions, I know the IPhone lacks some stuff but it’s still a nice phone. I was just asking man. I need the phone for travelling to a lot to different country’s, also be there for me and all that stuff, for fun and business purposes.

@Silksinz if you are still in high school and want to show off to every one that you can buy a piece of plastic and glass with a picture of a fruit on it, that still does half the shit android does, go ahead be like the rest of the world and wast it in a shitty 4s. not 4G service, no widgets on screen, no removable sd card. no adobe flash. this Samsung Galaxy S II is by far the best choice if i could afford it right now i would. but i would rather buy alcohol and party with my bros in my Frat!
10.28.11 at 5:27 pm
@Silksinz i would say neither of them. the iphone 4s is really not that cool of a phone. android phones can do so much more. if you are a business executive and can careless about apps and games go with a BB. better e-mail and exchange server.
if you are a college student i would go with an android. that is what i use and i love it. easy to have all 3 of my e-mail accounts together, removable micro SD card ,super fast phone, 4G service but….
